Former U.S. Attorney
Brian J. Kuester served as the presidentially nominated and U.S. Senate confirmed U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and, previously, as the elected and re-elected District Attorney of Oklahoma’s 27th District.
U.S. Attorney. Mr. Kuester led the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma as the district’s chief federal law enforcement officer. In that role, he oversaw all civil, criminal, and appellate proceedings, Department of Justice prosecutions, and the investigations of all federal agencies including the FBI, DEA, ATF, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of Inspector General, the IRS, and the Department of Homeland Security.
District Attorney. Before accepting his nomination as a U.S. Attorney, Mr. Kuester served as the well respected and overwhelmingly reelected District Attorney of Oklahoma’s 27th District. In that capacity he was the chief law enforcement officer in the four-county district, overseeing prosecutions and investigations conducted by state and local law enforcement agencies within the district.

Education & Admission. Mr. Kuester holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa Law School and a Bachelor of Science from Central Missouri State University. He is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma and various federal courts.
