Biography

Karen Pickett is recognized as a formidable white-collar defense and business litigation attorney.
Client Services. Over the course of the past twenty years, Ms. Pickett has made a name for herself as one of New England’s go-to attorneys when coming in second place is not an option. Ms. Pickett has prevailed in countless hearings, won trials, and defeated government investigations for a great number of individuals and companies alike. Criminal & Civil Litigation. Ms. Pickett reliably navigates clients through investigations and criminal prosecutions brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Department of Justice, the FBI, SEC, and other enforcement agencies. Focused on preventing and avoiding government intervention, Ms. Pickett has achieved non-prosecution decisions in federal fraud cases, financial crimes investigations, securities enforcement actions, healthcare and pharmaceutical whistleblower cases, federal kickback cases, False Claims Act matters, and IRS audits and investigations. In addition to her white-collar defense practice, Ms. Pickett has successfully litigated a plethora of state and federal civil litigation cases ranging from high-stake business disputes, intellectual property cases, and employment matters.
Education & Admission. Ms. Pickett graduated from Northeastern University Law School after earning a B.A. in economics from the College of the Holy Cross. A former clerk to the Honorable Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Ms. Pickett is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
