Steven Dillon offers clients one decade of U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) experience.

IRS Revenue Officer. For close to a decade, Mr. Dillon served the Treasury Department as an IRS Revenue Officer in the New England Headquarters IRS Collection Division.

Client Services. With a focus on administrative and civil tax litigation, Mr. Dillon advises clients under audit or investigation by the IRS. His spectrum of services includes the resolution of federal and multi-state tax controversies for individuals and businesses, tax collections and enforcement actions, IRS Offers in Compromise, allegations of employment tax issues, penalty abatement, lien releases, bank and wage levy releases or modifications, withdrawal and subordination, preparation of substitute for returns adjustments and amended returns. Mr. Dillon regularly advises international clients on foreign bank account and so-called FBAR cases.

Education & Admission. Mr. Dillon is admitted to practice before the IRS, the United States District Tax Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and before all courts in the State of Massachusetts. He received his law degree and his undergraduate B.A. in journalism from the University of Massachusetts.

Mr. Dillon resides in the Boston area and serves Oberheiden P.C. as local counsel on a case-by-case basis.
