Craig M. Wolff currently serves as the Acting United States Attorney for the District of Maine, making him the chief federal law enforcement officer in the state.
A seasoned prosecutor, Acting U.S. Attorney Wolff began his career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in 2002. Throughout his career, he has prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, with a particular focus on child exploitation offenses while serving in the District of Maine. He has held roles as First Assistant U.S. Attorney and Senior Litigation Counsel. Before joining the District of Maine, he worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Maryland for four years.
Wolff earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his law degree from the University of Virginia. Prior to his time with the Department of Justice, he clerked for U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz in the District of Maryland and worked as an associate at a Washington, D.C.-based international law firm.
