Wendell Odom is a former Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) with the Department of Justice and former Chief Prosecutor of the Consumer Fraud Division of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Odom offers clients in Houston and Southern Texas the experience of close to thirty years and hundreds of trials.

Background. Perhaps best known for his successful defense of Andrea Yates in one of the country’s most watched criminal trials of all time, Wendell Odom has gained a reputation as go-to counsel whenever someone’s life, livelihood, or license is at stake. Throughout his career as a former federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Houston, former Assistant District Attorney with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, and for close to three decades in private practice, Mr. Odom has tried every imaginable criminal matter before judges and juries in state and federal courts across the country.
