Protecting Your Business From Cybersecurity Threats & AI Litigation

Oberheiden Event in Dallas, TX

This is a recording of a private event in Dallas, TX, titled “Protecting Your Business From Cybersecurity Threats & AI Litigation,” featuring Former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe. Both of which are “Of Counsel” at Oberheiden P.C.

Oberheiden P.C. provides cybersecurity, digital forensics, and computer crime investigation services under Attorney-Client Privilege to protect publicly and privately traded companies from potential disclosure obligations.

With the tools and skillset of those who are currently trusted by the Department of Defense and the Secret Service, our team offers techniques and insights quite distinct than those of IT staff or private industry consultants. Following the leadership and
remarks of Oberheiden P.C.’s Of Counsel at a recent cybersecurity summit in Dallas, Texas, our focus is the Department of Defense approach, the hard-to-reach industry gold standard.

Our Of Counsel includes:

  • MIKE POMPEO, Former CIA Director and Secretary of State
  • JOHN RATCLIFFE, Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI)

While post-cyber incident response services are available through our firm, a pre-incident cybersecurity strategy will assist in proper operational readiness. Oberheiden P.C. offers the following:

  • Company executives’ phone and computer security and network encryption.
  • Rapid Crisis Response through a network of former government specialists.
  • Cybersecurity Prevention Training to implement DOD best practices.
  • Cybersecurity plan development.
  • Vulnerability identification through penetration testing.
  • Identification of network endpoints to better understand network topology and risk exposure.
  • Identification of exposed company data.
  • Internal cyber investigation assistance, including digital forensics.

Our operational team includes a nationwide network of former government specialists under the direction of:

TIMOTHY ALLEN (U.S. Secret Service, ret.) – Tim spent more than a decade with the U.S. Secret Service in the Electronic Crimes Special Agent Program (ECSAP). Tim has taught electronic crimes and computer forensics to local, state, federal, and international law enforcement. He retired as a Senior Special Agent with the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General, where he specialized in internal criminal & administrative investigations of employees within the DOJ umbrella with a cyber or electronic nexus.

JAMES DARNELL (U.S. Secret Service, ret.) – James is a recently retired U.S. Secret Service computer crime investigator, cyber defense, and digital forensic expert who previously led the computer forensic component of the U.S. Secret Service ECSAP
program. He spent 21 years with the Secret Service, 16 of which were in different roles with the Criminal Investigative Division (CID) and the National Computer Forensic Institute (NCFI).

DAVID BENTZ (U.S. Secret Service, ret.) – David is the founding supervisor of the U.S. Secret Service computer crimes task force in Dallas—a task force that he helped grow to over 400 members. Following his Secret Service career, David spent 10 years with a privately held security company in Fort Worth, TX. His teams provided a wide breadth of technical security to hundreds of company sites, employees, Flight Base of Operations, and private residences. David is often engaged as a public speaker — his presentations focus on bringing cybersecurity to the forefront of companies, government agencies, and the public at-large.

GARY A. LOEFFERT (FBI Senior Executive, ret.) – Directly reporting to the National Security Council, Gary has extensive national security, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism experience. As the FBI Special Agent in Charge, Gary directed all
operational, strategic, and tactical decisions on cybersecurity and counterintelligence. Gary retired as the FBI Chief of Staff in Washington, D.C.
